| FLORIANOPOLIS, Santa Catarina – Customs officials in the Santa Catarina port of Itajai report six shipping containers packed with garbage were received on Friday. The shipment originated in Spain and the import declaration was recorded with Customs last week, reported O Globo online.
According to Customs, the contents of the containers was described as “plastic scrap.” The company that received the shipment, Farrukhabad, headquartered in Rio Grande do Sul will be fined.
In a statement, Customs said that “all necessary measures will be taken to return the cargo to the country of origin, without prejudice to other penalties.”
