| SAO PAULO – A video showing 60 restaurant patrons being robbed in Sao Paulo was made public Wednesday. Civil Police released the video hoping somebody might recognize the assailants who forced the diners to the floor and robbed them.

The restaurant is located in the Pinheiros district in the center of the City of Sao Paulo – one of the city's oldest and wealthiest areas.
The images show the robbers arriving at the restaurant, securing the front door and forcing the customers to the floor. More gang members enter the eatery and go from table to table taking purses, cell phones, wallets and jewelry. About 80 people were inside the facility at the time of the robbery, which lasted about five minutes.
During the robbery, one employee manged to escape and alert police who responded quickly but too late to make any arrests. After the assailants finish collecting valuables, they can be seen fleeing the scene with bulging knapsacks.
Thirty people registered theft complaints with police as of Wednesday morning.
