Bombardier is the supplier of 378 cars (54 trains of seven cars each) that will travel the Tiradentes Express Line, which will stretch 15 miles. The monorail has a capacity of 40,000 passengers per hour with a potential to carry up to 48,000 per hour. The 1.4 billion USD project will reduce the travel time between the two locations from the current two hours to under 30 minutes.

The first cars will be produced in Canada, but production will be transferred later to a factory in Hortolandia in the interior of the state of Sao Paulo. More monorail lines are currently being planned for the Sao Paulo Metropolitan area.
