The victim underwent surgery at the municipal hospital where doctors removed a bullet that was lodged in his neck. Three other bullets remain lodged in his head. The fifth bullet passed through his nose and was not found.

According to the Military Police (PM), the man was found lying on a highway just outside town by a person passing by. He was taken to the police station, where according to the captain, he arrived conscious, in spite of his injuries.

The victim told police that he was drinking on a farm with friends and, later, was beaten and robbed by two men, 35 and 50 years old. According to the PM, the man said that he pretended to be dead to escape the assailants. He reported a sum of cash, credit cards, a food stamp card, and a cell phone were taken in the robbery.

The police recorded the incident as a robbery and later on Monday afternoon, they raided a farm where the suspects were believed to be hiding. The men were arrested and taken to the city jail.

According the surgeon, the bullets are still lodged in the victim’s head and cannot be removed. “It’s very difficult to remove bullets lodged like these without harming the patient’s health,” he told G1.

”What stood out most was that he came walking to the hospital and did not know he had taken five shots to the head,” says the surgeon. Of the five shots, one was lodged in the neck, one in the jaw and two in one ear. The fifth bullet fractured the nasal bone but passed through, said the surgeon.

The patient continues to recover in the hospital and doctors expect to release hime on Friday. “Despite being a simple case medically, he was very lucky,” added the surgeon.

  1. I would never have believed it if I hadn't read this. In fact, even after seeing this, I'm having some trouble fully accepting things. That guy is extremely lucky to survive that many head shots.

  2. It's miracle he lived through that. What's even more surprising was he had no idea how many times he was shot. I can only imagine how much surgery will be needed to fix the damage.
