| ANTWERP, Belgium – Wednesday morning, shipping company employees near Antwerp discovered about 300 kg (661 lbs) of pure cocaine shipped from Brazil. The cocaine, worth an estimated €11 million euros ($14.2 million USD), was hidden in a shipment of shoe polish which arrived at the port of Antwerp, in northern Belgium, this week.

The container, which arrived in the country late on Tuesday, was delivered this morning to a transportation company in Wellebroek, 20 km (12.5 miles) south of Antwerp. As the container was being unloaded, workers discovered eleven travel bags, each containing 25 one-kilogram (2.2 lbs) bricks of pure cocaine.
Police opened an investigation, but according to preliminary data, they don't think that the shipping company was involved. The drugs will be destroyed immediately.
