| SAO LUIS, Brazil – A city worker in north-east Brazil was attacked on Friday by a 5 meter (16.5 foot) anaconda snake while cleaning a creak in the city of Imperatriz, Maranhão state. “I was pulled by the snake. Luckily, my colleagues were nearby and pulled me out with the snake and everything,” the worker told a reporter from TV Mirante.

| CAMPO GRANDE, Brazil – Images of a giant anaconda being photographed underwater created a stir this week on Facebook Brazil. After the amazing images were posted and shared, many Facebook users posted comments doubting the authenticity of the photographs.

| GOIANIA, Brazil – A company of firefighters captured a 20-foot-long and pregnant anaconda Monday morning after being called to a factory in rural Goias. Workers at the factory in the town of Palmeiras, 84 km (52 miles) from the capital, were able to corner the serpent in a bathroom until firefighters arrived.
