Man didn't like wife's hair short
AMERICO BRASILIENSE, Brazil - A 34-year-old man was arrested after assaulting his wife late Friday night in Américo Brasiliense, a small agricultural town, known as the “city of sweetness” because of it's sprawling sugar cane fields, 280 km from São Paulo.

Police say that the woman, 24, went to the local police station after her husband, infuriated that she had had her hair cut short, assaulted her splitting open an eyebrow.
The husband, Raimundo Nonato Rios de Jesus, was arrested and taken to the police station in Araraquara where bail was set at six times the minimum wage, about $2,500. Unable to make bail, he was booked into the regional jail in São Carlos where he awaits a court appearance next week.
