| BRASILIA – CCTV footage from a subway station in the Brazilian capital shows a woman pushing another off the platform and onto the rails. The 28-year-old victim was talking on a cellphone near the yellow security line when the other woman, 32, approached from behind and shoved her onto the tracks. Metro said the incident took place last Sunday.
Security guards grabbed the aggressor and rescued the victim, who had only scratches. A spokesman for Metro told G1 that the powered rail is covered by a rubber cap, which prevented the victim from being electrocuted.
According to police, the woman said she pushed the other because she had been slapped by the victim. The victim denies slapping the suspect. Police spokesman said that the suspect was arrested and will be charged with attempted murder.
