Air Force Strikes Deep in Amazon

| MANAUS, Brazil – Two A-29 Super Tucano fighters from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) attacked, on Saturday (12), a clandestine runway 218 km from Boa Vista, capital of Roraima state. The Air Force dropped general purpose 230 kg aerial bombs on the site, located deep in the Amazon near the Venezuelan border, cratering the airstrip with holes 10 meters across and three meters deep, according to online media reports.
